Exploring Z-Wave Dimmers and Vera3 Reliability

Hi all, I’ve been exploring the world of Z-Wave dimmers and their reliability, especially with the Vera3 system. I recently noticed that when a dimmer becomes disabled due to a burned-out bulb, it significantly slows down my Z-Wave communication. This is particularly problematic because when only one light is on the circuit, the Z-Wave dimmer relies on the load to power itself. I’m curious if there are still dimmers available that include a neutral wire, which would prevent the no-load situation from affecting communication.

Additionally, I’m wondering about the Vera3’s performance compared to the Vera2 in terms of Z-Wave reliability. Have others noticed any improvements or differences? I’d love to hear your experiences and insights on this.

On a lighter note, I also stumbled upon a guide on integrating Alexa skills with OpenHAB, which seems promising but a bit tricky. I tried configuring OAuth2, but I’m hitting a snag where the token endpoint isn’t responding correctly. If anyone has successfully set this up or has tips, I’d be grateful for the advice!

Overall, it’s fascinating to see how these technologies can enhance our homes, and I’m excited to continue learning and experimenting. Happy tinkering everyone!
