Exploring Z-Wave Engine 3.0 and Automation Tips

As a long-time user of Z-Wave devices, I’ve been closely following the developments of Z-Wave Engine 3.0. It’s exciting to see the improvements in stability and performance, especially for those of us with extensive setups. I currently have over 100 devices, mostly Fibaro, and the idea of migrating to Engine 3.0 is both thrilling and daunting. I’m curious to hear from others who have made the switch—what has been your experience? Have minor issues been manageable, or are there still significant hurdles to overcome? I’d love to gather some insights before taking the plunge myself.

On another note, I’ve been diving into creating more complex automations. For instance, setting up a scenario where motion sensors trigger a peek-in camera shot when the system is armed away. It’s a small feature, but it adds a layer of security that’s hard to ignore. If anyone has tips on refining such automations or integrating multiple devices seamlessly, I’d be grateful for the advice!

Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with grouping actions for multiple switches. With 30 switches in my setup, manually configuring each one isn’t practical. I’m exploring ways to create a single action that can toggle all of them at once, especially when transitioning to an away mode. If anyone has a clever workaround or a rule setup that achieves this, please share your wisdom!

Thanks to everyone for their contributions and experiences—it’s amazing to see the community coming together to enhance our smart home setups.
