I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I must say, it’s been quite an adventure! One of the challenges I’ve encountered is setting up Z-Wave groups for my lights. I have eight Z-Wave lights in total, and grouping them has been a bit tricky. When I trigger the group to turn them all on, they work perfectly, but if I try to dim, change color, or turn them off, there’s a frustrating 12-15 second delay. It’s like there’s a cool-down period before the group accepts another command. I’m wondering if anyone has encountered this issue and found a solution. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
On a more positive note, I’ve been experimenting with integrating music and lights, and it’s been a blast! I recently tried pairing classic rock mashups with my Govee Dreamview lights, and the results were absolutely stunning. The lights really bring the music to life, creating an immersive experience that’s hard to put into words. If anyone has tips on how to optimize this setup, I’d be thrilled to hear them!
Another thing I’ve been curious about is the possibility of using a 24-hour time format on the playback time bar. I often find myself confused when trying to differentiate between AM and PM, especially when reviewing past events or scheduling automations. A different highlight color for AM and PM would be a fantastic addition, in my opinion. Has anyone else thought about this or found a workaround?
Overall, my journey into smart home automation has been filled with both challenges and triumphs. I’m excited to continue exploring and learning from the community. If anyone has insights or suggestions on any of these topics, I’d love to hear from you!
