Exploring Z-Wave Integration with Fujitsu Mini Split

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation, and I’m currently exploring how to integrate my Fujitsu Mini Split into my Z-Wave system. While the research has been a bit of a puzzle, I’m excited to share my journey and see if anyone else has tackled this challenge.

First, I reached out to the community to see if others had connected their Fujitsu units to Z-Wave. It turns out, it’s not as straightforward as I hoped. I came across the Zooz Zen17 as a potential solution, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s the right fit. I’ve been researching and testing different configurations, but I’m still waiting for some clarity.

In the meantime, I’ve been experimenting with Node-RED to create custom automations. For instance, I set up a system where motion detected by a sensor triggers the lights to turn on at sunset. It’s been working smoothly, but I want to add a feature where the lights dim gradually after a period of inactivity. I’ve installed the node-red-contrib-light-transition package and set it up, but I’m hitting a snag where the lights just turn off instead of dimming. If anyone has successfully implemented a similar setup, I’d love to hear your tips!

Another area I’m curious about is the use of the Govee Star Light Projector. It’s supposed to be a fantastic addition for ambiance, especially in the evenings. I’m wondering if others have integrated this with their existing smart home setups and if there are any tricks to get the most out of it.

Lastly, I’m keeping an eye on the upcoming Govee products. The community buzz around them is exciting, and I’m eager to see how they can enhance my smart home experience.

If anyone has insights into Z-Wave integration with HVAC systems, Node-RED dimming issues, or experiences with Govee products, I’d be grateful for your input. Let’s keep the conversation flowing and help each other navigate the wonderful world of smart home tech!
