Exploring Z-Wave Power Strips and Modbus Climate Integration

As someone who’s deeply into home automation, I’ve been on a quest to find the perfect Z-Wave power strip. The Everspring AN160 caught my eye as a more affordable alternative to the Aeotec model. I’m curious if anyone else has experience with this device or knows if it’s still available on the market. It would be great to hear from others who might have encountered the same search challenges!

Switching gears, I’ve been diving into integrating my Magnum heating system with Home Assistant using Modbus TCP. The current temperature and target temperature registers are clearly visible when using Modbus Poll, but I’m hitting a snag when trying to get the target temperature to display correctly in Home Assistant. My configuration seems solid, but the thermostat in Lovelace only shows the current temperature. I suspect I might be missing a crucial step in the setup. Has anyone else tackled this and found a solution?

Another area I’m exploring is the sensitivity settings on my Wyze Cam V2. It’s been triggering motion events at night due to external lights and passing cars, which isn’t ideal. I’d love to know if there’s a way to desensitize the motion detection without compromising its effectiveness. It would be awesome to hear tips or tricks from the community on managing false triggers.

Overall, the journey into home automation is both rewarding and challenging. Every problem solved feels like a victory, and every new challenge is an opportunity to learn. I’m excited to see how these integrations pan out and can’t wait to share more as I progress!
