I recently set up a Vision ZD2102-5 door sensor, but I’m running into an issue where it only reports the ‘closed’ state. I’ve tried excluding and re-adding it, resetting the device, and even manually creating items in openHAB, but nothing seems to resolve the problem. Does anyone have any insights or troubleshooting steps they’ve found effective? I’d really appreciate any help!
On a different note, I’ve been contemplating an upgrade from my current C7 hubs to the C8 Pro. My setup includes three C7 hubs managing cloud devices, Zigbee, and Z-Wave, with external antenna mods for better range. While things are working smoothly right now, I’m curious about the benefits the C8 Pro might offer, especially regarding antenna performance and compatibility with the latest Z-Wave updates. Has anyone had a positive experience migrating from C7 to C8 Pro without major hiccups? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any tips for a smooth transition!
Lastly, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my Alexa devices more seamlessly. I noticed that my Alexa has started changing the volume on its own, which is a bit puzzling. For instance, I set it to 6 in the evening, and by morning, it’s back down to 3. This behavior is new and a bit concerning. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, how did you resolve it? I’d appreciate any advice or insights!
