Exploring ZHA and Matter Integration Challenges

I’ve recently embarked on setting up my smart home ecosystem, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! After watching Simon42’s tutorials, I decided to go all in with ZHA SkyConnect for my Zigbee and Z-Wave devices. The initial setup was smooth, and I managed to integrate my first three Zigbee devices without any hitch. The Z-Wave stick with the motion sensor also worked like a charm right out of the box. My Wi-Fi channels are optimized as per Simon42’s recommendations, ensuring a stable connection for all my devices.

However, my excitement took a hit when I tried integrating the Matter network using the SkyConnect stick. Despite correctly setting up the AddOns and integrations, adding a Matter-compatible Eve Motion Sensor via the Android app resulted in a network connection error. The sensor seemed to interview successfully with my phone, but post-interview, both Zigbee and Matter networks went haywire. Restarting via backup restored the Zigbee network, but the Matter integration remains elusive.

I’m curious if anyone else has successfully integrated Matter devices with SkyConnect. Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be invaluable. I’m also keen on exploring if there are specific configurations or logs I should be examining. I’m new to this, so any guidance, whether on code snippets or log analysis, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to help out!
