Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of Zigbee and Bluetooth integration with OpenHAB, and I wanted to share my experiences and some questions I have along the way. ![]()
First off, I’ve been using OpenHAB 4 on my Raspberry Pi, and it’s been a fantastic journey. However, I’ve hit a snag with getting Zigbee and Bluetooth devices to work seamlessly. I’ve tried various setups, from older Linux Mint versions to newer builds on my Orange Pi 5, but it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster. ![]()
For Zigbee, I’ve been relying on zigbee2mqtt, which works like a charm on older software, but newer versions of Node.js and npm have thrown some curveballs. I’m wondering if the built-in Zigbee gateway in OpenHAB is robust enough for my setup, which includes around 10-12 devices. It would be great to hear what others are using for their Zigbee setups! ![]()
As for Bluetooth, I’ve got four temperature sensors, and while they’re functional, the integration with the latest Python versions has been a bit hit or miss. I’m curious if anyone has found a reliable workaround or alternative solutions. ![]()
I’d love to hear your experiences, tips, and tricks for getting Zigbee and Bluetooth devices up and running smoothly with OpenHAB. Whether it’s software configurations, hardware recommendations, or just general advice, I’m all ears! ![]()
