Exploring Zigbee and Thread Compatibility with SkyConnect Stick

Hi everyone, I’ve been really enjoying using the SkyConnect Stick with Zigbee2MQTT for my Zigbee devices—it’s been working perfectly! Now, I’m curious about the possibility of integrating Thread devices into my setup, especially with the upcoming Matter standards. My main question is: Can I run Zigbee and Thread simultaneously on the SkyConnect Stick while continuing to use Zigbee2MQTT?

I’ve heard about the Multiprotokoll-Firmware for SkyConnect, which supports both Zigbee and Thread. However, I’m unsure if this firmware is compatible with Zigbee2MQTT or if I’d need to switch to ZHA in Home Assistant. Ideally, I’d like to stick with Zigbee2MQTT because I love its flexibility and MQTT integration.

If anyone has experience with this setup or can offer tips, I’d be really grateful! It would be amazing to expand my ecosystem without losing the functionality I currently enjoy. Looking forward to hearing from you all!
