Exploring Zigbee and Thread Integration in Homeassistant OS

Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of Zigbee and Thread integration in Homeassistant OS, and I wanted to share my experiences and ask a few questions. First, I’ve successfully set up a ZBT-2 for Zigbee, which has been fantastic for connecting my smart lights and sensors. However, I’m curious about running a second ZBT-2 for Thread specifically. I’ve heard that this could turn my Homeassistant setup into a Thread Router, eliminating the need for an Apple TV. Does anyone have experience with this setup? I’m using a Raspberry Pi 5 with an NVME SSD, so performance shouldn’t be an issue, but I’d love to hear about others’ experiences or any potential pitfalls.

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with motion sensors and noticed a difference in behavior when switching from Alexa to Phoscon. The sensor seems to reset after 40 seconds regardless of movement, which is different from how Alexa handles it. I’d love to find a way to make the sensor behave consistently across both platforms. Has anyone encountered this or found a solution?

I’m also curious about anyone’s experience with the Netatmo weather station, especially regarding regional compatibility. I’m in the market for one and want to ensure it works seamlessly with my setup. Additionally, I’ve heard about some issues with the Iris button reliability, but I’m glad to see that the community has found fixes through code adjustments. It’s inspiring to see how collaborative this community is!

Lastly, I’d love to hear about anyone’s success stories with integrating multiple brands or troubleshooting signal strength issues. I’m always looking for tips to optimize my setup. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences—this community is invaluable!
