I’ve been diving into the world of ZigBee integration with my smart home setup, and it’s been quite the journey!
I recently added a few Aqara switches and sensors, and while the initial setup was smooth, I stumbled upon a bit of a snag when trying to remove a faulty device. After some research and experimentation, I managed to purge the old device by resetting the coordinator and rejoining the network. It was a bit of a hassle, but it taught me a lot about how ZigBee networks operate. ![]()
On another note, I’ve been exploring the use of virtual switches to streamline my morning routine. I set up a PLTS (Programmable Logic Timer Switch) to act as an alarm clock, bugging me every 10 seconds until I hit the snooze button. The challenge was getting the countdown to restart if I didn’t wake up in time. After some trial and error, I figured out how to use self-trigger inputs and adjust the reset state to make it work seamlessly. It’s such a small thing, but it makes mornings so much easier! ![]()
I’d love to hear from others who’ve tackled similar projects or have tips for optimizing ZigBee setups. Let’s keep the learning and sharing going! ![]()
