Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of Zigbee smart bulbs lately and wanted to share my experiences and some tips I’ve picked up along the way. I recently purchased a Zigbee Smart Bulb from eWeLight and have been experimenting with integrating it into different ecosystems. While the bulb works seamlessly with Hubitat, controlling everything from the switch, intensity, color temperature, and even the hue degree, I noticed some limitations when integrating it into Home Remote. Specifically, Home Remote doesn’t seem to support the hue degree setting, which is a bit disappointing. I’d love to hear if anyone has found a workaround for this or if there’s a setting I might be missing.
On a different note, I’ve also been exploring the integration of GE Link bulbs into my setup. Initially, I was puzzled because my ST hub could see the bulbs but wouldn’t let me control them. After some research and troubleshooting, I realized that assigning apps or rules wasn’t the solution—I just needed to ensure the bulbs were properly paired and configured within the hub settings. It was a bit of a learning curve, but now everything works like a charm!
Another interesting challenge I came across was setting up a Wyze outdoor camera. While the camera itself is fantastic, I noticed that it often goes offline, especially during power outages or network glitches. I’ve found that simply unplugging and replugging the base unit seems to resolve the issue temporarily, but it’s definitely something I’d like to find a more permanent fix for. If anyone has tips on stabilizing the connection, I’d be grateful!
Lastly, I wanted to mention the incredible community support I’ve encountered. Whether it’s troubleshooting Zigbee issues, exploring new integrations, or simply sharing tips, the forums have been an invaluable resource. If anyone has questions or experiences they’d like to share, I’d love to hear them!
Happy automating everyone! ![]()
