Exploring Zigbee Switches and Home Assistant Configuration

As a homeowner aiming to integrate smart switches into my existing setup, I’ve been exploring various options to replace my old Tuya WiFi switches. After moving to Home Assistant, I wanted to transition to Zigbee for better compatibility and reliability. I’ve recently ordered a few Aqara E1 no-neutral switches, but my experience hasn’t been entirely smooth. While the soft button action initially impressed me, I’ve encountered some issues. Sometimes the button press doesn’t register, requiring a firmer press, and the relay makes a loud clicking sound, which is quite noticeable compared to my previous silent Tuya switches.

I’ve been researching alternatives and came across Moes switches on Amazon. However, they require a load connection for each gang, which means they can’t be used as a remote button to control another device. This limitation is a bit frustrating, especially since I have some multi-gang switches that I’d like to keep functional without rewiring. I’ve also looked into YagSmart Tuya switches, but concerns about their durability after 18 months of use have made me hesitant.

I’m now seeking recommendations for no-neutral Zigbee switches that can control other devices without a load connection and preferably have a quieter relay. I’d prefer physical switches over relay modules, as I have a few 2/3 gang switches that would be difficult to replace. I’ve considered the Aqara H1, but I’ve heard they also have a loud relay, so I’m hoping someone might have more up-to-date information or alternative suggestions.

If anyone has successfully integrated Zigbee switches with Home Assistant or has tips on optimizing the configuration, I’d greatly appreciate the insights. The goal is to create a seamless, quiet, and reliable smart home setup that enhances my daily life without the hassle of constant adjustments or noisy components.
