Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all. Hopefully, this can spark some interesting discussions or even help someone out there!
First off, I’ve been experimenting with Zigbee2mqtt and recently ran into an issue when enabling multi-protocol on my SkyConnect hub. It caused my Zigbee devices to stop working, but luckily, I had a spare Conbee 2 stick to get everything back up and running. I’m curious if anyone else has faced similar issues or knows a reliable way to reset the SkyConnect to disable multi-protocol without losing all my configurations. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
On another note, I’ve been looking into hygrometers to monitor humidity levels in my home, especially in areas prone to moisture issues. Govee offers a wide range of options, but I’m not sure which one would be the best fit for my needs. I’ve heard great things about their H5151 model, but I’m open to suggestions or experiences others might have had with different models. If anyone has recommendations or can share their setup, I’d love to hear about it!
Speaking of setups, I’ve recently come across the Qubino Flush Shutter and am really intrigued by its potential. However, I’m struggling to find clear documentation on how to configure it properly. Does anyone have experience with this device or know of any resources that could help me understand the Z-Wave commands better? I’m really keen on getting this integrated into my system, so any guidance would be a lifesaver!
Lastly, I’ve been working on enhancing my security setup with a camera. I’ve got a system in place where I receive notifications on my phone when motion is detected, but I’ve noticed that sometimes the live stream doesn’t load in time, especially if I’m checking it later. I’m wondering if there’s a way to automatically save snapshots of the detected motion so I can review them later without relying solely on the live feed. I’ve heard about some solutions involving cloud storage, but I’m not sure how feasible or reliable they are. If anyone has implemented something like this or has advice, I’d be all ears!
All in all, it’s been a fascinating journey exploring all the possibilities of smart home automation. There’s always something new to learn or tinker with, and I’m excited to see how my setup evolves over time. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts and experiences on these topics! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out as we navigate this ever-growing world of smart technology. Cheers! ![]()
