Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with extending the range of my Arlo Essential #2 cameras. I’ve always been fascinated by how technology can push boundaries, and this little project was no exception!
Initially, I was using the Arlo cameras around my property, but I noticed that beyond the advertised 300 feet, the image quality started to drop significantly. I live on a sprawling estate, so capturing footage beyond this limit was crucial for me. The idea of extending the range had been on my mind for a while, and I decided to give it a shot!
After some research, I stumbled upon a solution involving a Starlink router. I was skeptical at first, but I thought, why not give it a try? I set up the router between the camera and my main network. To my delight, it worked like a charm! The camera now consistently captures clear images up to 1,000 feet and beyond. It’s been a game-changer for monitoring my property effectively.
