Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to figure out how to extend the event playback duration on my Wyze Cam Plus. I’ve heard it can go up to 6 minutes, but I’m only getting 12-second clips. Does anyone else experience this? Let me share what I’ve tried so far.
I set up my Wyze Cam V3 Pro with Cam Plus, and I’ve configured the detection settings to cover the whole courtyard. I’ve also set the recording to continuous on the microSD card. Despite all this, I’m not getting the longer clips I expected.
From what I found, the Cam Plus stores event videos in the cloud, and the duration depends on how long motion is detected. If motion lasts 6 minutes, the video should be 6 minutes long. However, I’m only getting short clips. I even checked the settings again, but nothing seems to change.
I did come across a workaround where you can enable scheduled event recording on the SD card, allowing up to 5-minute segments. While this isn’t the perfect solution, it’s better than 12 seconds. I’m still hoping for a way to get the full 6-minute clips without relying on scheduled recording.
Has anyone else had success with longer playback durations? Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!
