Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about adding a Wyze cam outside my condo to keep an eye on my patio area. While I’m excited about the added security, I’ve been a bit unsure about the legal aspects and how my neighbors might feel about it. Has anyone else installed a Wyze cam or similar device outside their living space? I’d love to hear your experiences!
I’ve done a bit of research and it seems like as long as the camera is placed on my property and isn’t invading others’ privacy, it should be fine legally. But I’m still a bit nervous about how my neighbors might react. I don’t want to cause any friction, so I’m planning to be transparent about its purpose and maybe even offer to show them how it works if they’re curious.
Another thing I’ve been considering is the best placement for the camera. I want it to cover the main areas I’m concerned about, but I also don’t want it to be too intrusive. I think mounting it high enough that it doesn’t feel like it’s watching the sidewalk too closely might be a good approach. I’d love to hear any tips or advice you all might have!
