Any updates on a timeline for the spare battery?
@Aqara-Harry can you please provide an update on the spare battery situation?
It has been over 2 months.
I purchased two locks before the apple store kit was even available. They are working great and I plan to use them for a long time. I just need an extra battery or two to provide me reassurance on my long term investment.
This is a no brainer for Aqara. You will make money on this.

+1 for a replaceable/spare battery option.
It’s hard to justify a $250 device built around a proprietary battery that you can’t actually buy a replacement for. Until that changes, I’m holding off on purchasing.
Two reasons others have already raised, worth repeating:

Swappable batteries = minimal downtime. Pop in a charged spare instead of losing functionality every time the lock needs to charge.

Battery degradation is inevitable, and it happens faster in outdoor devices exposed to temperature swings. Once the cell goes bad with no replacement available, a $250 lock becomes e-waste.
Selling spare batteries is an easy win: more revenue for Aqara, longer device lifespan, less frustration for customers. Please make this happen.

I recently purchased the U400 smart door lock through Aqara and would also like to purchase a spare battery for it. I hope Aqara provides the capability to purchase extra batteries for the U400 soon.

The ability to purchase a spare battery is mandatory & commonplace with all devices of like nature. Your customers are demanding it. You’re losing market share as evidenced in this thread with people who want to buy more locks but are unwilling to do so until spare battery purchase option exists.
The original request was made many months ago and still no action has taken place. What is the hold up here and when will the spare battery purchase option be available?

I am also wishing to purchase a spare battery for my U400. An update on when the possibility to be able to purchase a spare battery would be appreciated by many of us…
