Faber Fireplace ITC Controller Integration - Success Story

Hey everyone! I wanted to share an exciting project I recently completed. I’ve always wanted to integrate my Faber fireplace into Home Assistant, but there was no existing integration available. After some research, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a custom solution!

Over the Christmas break, I developed a custom integration for the Faber ITC controller. The process involved capturing network commands from the official Faber app and reverse-engineering the TCP protocol. I then created a GitHub repository where I documented the protocol and shared the integration code.

The integration allows full control of the fireplace through Home Assistant, including automations. It works with fireplaces connected via LAN or WiFi, though Bluetooth support isn’t available yet. I’ve made everything publicly accessible, so feel free to check it out and fork the repo if you’d like to contribute!

I’d love to hear if anyone else with a Faber fireplace tries this integration. While I can’t provide direct support, I’m happy to help with any questions or suggestions you might have. Happy tinkering! 焰
