Would be great to have fan control option in homekit as if in aqara app. So I may trigger automation to control the fan, too.

Yes! My wish list:

  1. “return to normal schedule” automation
  2. presets support over matter
  3. fan control support over matter

In the meantime, you can work around this in the Aqara app by:

  1. Creating a Scene to turn on the fan and one to turn it off
  2. go to profile > connect to ecosystems > Matter > scene and signal sync and enable it for these scenes

This will create switches in HomeKit that you can turn on to activate manually or in an automation. So, one switch to turn on, one to turn off.

The switch will turn off after a second or two - it’s designed as a momentary switch - but the fan will actually stay on until something turns it off.

Or, I believe you can instead enable Siri shortcuts for these scenes and use Apple’s Shortcuts app.
