Feature Request: Support for External RTSP/ONVIF Video Streams on Aqara MagicPad S1 Plus

Hi everyone,

I am a heavy user of the Aqara ecosystem (currently using the M3 Hub and G5 Pro PoE), but like many smart home enthusiasts, I use a multi-brand setup. Specifically, I use Ubiquiti UniFi for my primary security cameras and doorbell.

I would like to request a feature for the Aqara MagicPad S1 Plus to support displaying video streams from third-party cameras (via RTSP or ONVIF).

My Use Case:

  • When someone rings my Aqara doorbell, I want to see the feed on the S1 Plus.
  • However, I also need the ability to manually or automatically (via automation) trigger a window showing my UniFi camera streams on the S1 Plus display.
  • I use Home Assistant as my central bridge, so even a way to “cast” a dashboard or a specific stream from HA to the S1 Plus would be a game-changer.

The S1 Plus is a beautiful piece of hardware, and adding support for external video streams would make it the ultimate control center for users who don’t exclusively use Aqara cameras.

Is this feature on the roadmap, or is there a plan to allow more open integration for video feeds?
