Hello fellow smart home enthusiasts! I wanted to share my recent experience integrating a Fibaro The Button into my Z-Wave network. It’s been quite an enlightening journey, and I hope my insights can help others who might be going through a similar process.
First off, the setup was straightforward. I followed the standard procedure for adding a Z-Wave device, and the Fibaro button paired without any issues. However, things took a slight turn when I noticed that while the scene_number channel worked perfectly, the alarm_general channel wasn’t responding as expected.

After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that the alarm_general channel might require specific configurations or firmware updates. This experience taught me the importance of thorough research and community support when integrating new devices. It also highlighted how even the most reliable devices can sometimes have quirks that require a bit of digging to resolve.
