Fibaro Dimmer 2: A Smooth Integration Journey

I just wanted to share my experience with integrating the Fibaro Dimmer 2 into my smart home setup. It’s been a fascinating journey, and I’m thrilled with how everything came together. :star2:

Initially, I was a bit overwhelmed when trying to wire the dimmer switches correctly. I had this idea of converting a single ceiling light circuit into multiple ones, but I wasn’t entirely sure about the best approach. After some research and reaching out to the community, I found some fantastic resources that guided me through the process. Special shoutout to the helpful tips from robertklep and dijker!

Here’s what worked for me: I decided to take out the existing switches and connect the wires in a way that would allow each light to be controlled separately. I also opted for the Philips Hue Tap Dial as the smart switch, which not only looks sleek but also integrates seamlessly with my Homey Pro. The key was ensuring that the Fibaro dimmers were permanently powered, which made the whole setup much more reliable.

After a bit of trial and error, everything started working like a charm! The lights now respond perfectly to my commands, and it’s such a joy to have this level of control. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. :tada:

If anyone else is looking to tackle a similar project, I’d highly recommend checking out the community posts for guidance. The support here is incredible, and it really makes these projects manageable even for someone like me who’s still learning the ropes. Thanks to everyone who contributed to these discussions—it’s communities like this that make smart home automation so rewarding! :bulb:
