Hi everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience with Fibaro devices and some tips I’ve learned along the way. I recently came across a great deal on Fibaro products through Wired4Signs, which was a fantastic find for anyone looking to expand their smart home setup. The quality and reliability of these devices have been impressive, and I’ve been able to integrate them seamlessly into my existing system. One challenge I faced was with my Synology NAS setup. I had moved my Home Assistant data to an external USB drive a few months ago, but now that I’m transitioning to SSD storage, I need to move the data back. Unfortunately, there’s no direct option in HA settings for this, so I had to do some digging. I found that manually copying the data and reconfiguring the settings worked, but it was a bit time-consuming. I’d love to hear if anyone has a more efficient method for this process. Another interesting project I’m working on involves RF signal integration. I recently purchased some RF remotes and have been experimenting with adding them to my Homey setup. While there are some existing discussions on the old forums about learning 433 MHz signals, I’m curious if anyone has successfully implemented a reliable solution. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated! Lastly, I wanted to share a fun story about my Wyze camera. It caught a thief stealing my mail, and the footage was clear enough to identify the culprit. It’s amazing how these devices can provide such valuable security benefits. I’ve since shared the footage with my neighbors to help raise awareness. If anyone has tips on improving their smart home setup or has encountered similar challenges, I’d love to hear about your experiences! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out. Happy smart home tinkering! ![]()
