Hello everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with integrating my Fibaro fire alarms into the SmartThings ecosystem. Initially, I faced some challenges after an update, where I couldn’t set settings or view alerts properly. It was a bit frustrating, but I decided to dig deeper and find a solution.
After some research, I discovered that the device handlers for Fibaro devices are not provided by Fibaro themselves but by third-party developers. This was a bit confusing at first, but I found a helpful community thread that guided me to the right device handlers. I was able to download and install them on my SmartThings hub, and now everything works seamlessly!
I also explored the possibility of using Home Assistant for better integration, but Fibaro’s proprietary protocols made it a bit tricky. However, with the right configuration and some trial and error, I managed to get everything up and running. It’s amazing how the community support can make such a difference!
If anyone else is having trouble with Fibaro devices on SmartThings, I highly recommend checking out the community forums. There are some brilliant solutions and workarounds shared by fellow users. Happy automating! ![]()
