Fibaro Motion Sensor Automation Setup Guide

I recently set up a Fibaro motion sensor on my first-floor landing to automate my bedroom lights. My kids are still getting used to turning off lights, so this was a perfect solution! Here’s how I did it:

  1. Hardware Setup: I installed the Fibaro motion sensor on the landing and connected it to my Homey hub. The sensor detects movement within a 15-minute window.

  2. Automation Flow: Using the Homey app, I created a flow where if the motion sensor detects no movement for 15 minutes, it turns off all bedroom lights. Simple yet effective!

  3. Tips & Tricks: I found the built-in countdown app on Homey super helpful for timing the automation. It’s also great for other tasks like reminders or scheduling.

  4. Customization: I experimented with different motion detection ranges and delay times to find the perfect balance between convenience and energy savings.

This setup has been a game-changer for me. It ensures lights are always off when no one’s around, saving energy and reducing the hassle of manual controls. If you’re looking to automate your lighting, I highly recommend exploring Fibaro sensors and Homey flows!

Happy automating! :rocket:
