Hi everyone, I’m new to the SmartThings ecosystem and I’ve just started transitioning from my Vera unit. I’m a bit puzzled about where to send commands to adjust device parameters. For instance, I have a Fibaro dimmer (V1) and I want to change parameter 14 so it recognizes a toggle switch. Any advice would be appreciated!
I also came across an interesting solution for stabilizing a large ZigBee network. Apparently, splitting the network into sensor and actor meshes can prevent instability and latency issues. By using Sonoff USB sticks as routers in each room, the network becomes much more reliable. This approach ensures that Hue lights remain functional even if the main system goes down, which is a great fallback mechanism.
Another thing I’m curious about is installing ESPHomeYAML on HASSIO. I tried it, but when I attempt to start the Web UI, it refuses to connect. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, but the issue persists. Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips?
Lastly, I’m exploring how to set up Alexa to control groups of lights. I’ve managed to turn single lights on and off using Node-RED, but I’m struggling with the API call for groups. If anyone has successfully done this, I’d love to hear how you structured the data section.
