Fibaro Relay Control and Automation Tips

Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation and wanted to share my experiences with the Fibaro relay. I’ve got this 2 x 1.5kw Fibaro relay controlling two separate sets of lights, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my setup. The custom device handler I’m using allows me to control each set individually right from the SmartThings app, which is super convenient. But here’s where I hit a snag—I can’t seem to control the individual relays in my automations. It either turns both on or both off, which is pretty frustrating. I must be missing something here. Has anyone encountered this issue before and found a workaround? I’d love to hear your thoughts and solutions.

On another note, I’ve been exploring different automation setups and wanted to share a tip I found helpful. If you’re looking to create more complex automations without delays, consider using scene-based triggers instead of relying solely on device state changes. It’s made a world of difference in my setup.

Lastly, I’m curious to know how others handle their automation delays, especially with devices that don’t provide immediate feedback. Any tricks of the trade would be greatly appreciated! Let’s keep the conversation flowing and help each other optimize our smart home setups. Cheers! :star2:
