Fibaro RGBW Controller: A Hidden Gem for Color Control

I’ve been exploring the capabilities of my Fibaro RGBW Controller and I’m thrilled to share my findings! After some digging, I discovered a hidden feature that allows for seamless color control. Here’s what I did:

  1. Configuration Setup: I accessed the Fibaro RGBW options under the Advanced tab and set the device file to D_DimDimmableRGBLight1.xml and the JSON file to D_DimDimmableRGBLight1.json.
  2. Browser Refresh: After configuring the node, I force-reloaded my browser (using CTRL + F5).
  3. Results: The color controls worked perfectly! I was able to adjust the RGB channels smoothly, and the W channel (which I use for a light bulb) responded as expected.

However, I have a few questions:

  • Proper Configuration: Why didn’t the controller automatically recognize the correct files?
  • Child Devices: The image shows several child devices (R, G, B channels). How can I hide these while keeping the W channel visible?
  • File Differences: I noticed there’s also a D_DimDimmableRGBLight2.json file. What’s the difference between these two files?

If anyone has insights or tips, I’d love to hear them! It’s been a rewarding experience uncovering these features, and I’m excited to optimize my setup further. Happy tinkering! :control_knobs::sparkles:
