Hello everyone, I recently got my hands on a Fibaro RGBW controller and decided to dive into its capabilities. My goal is to primarily control it using associations and scenes, avoiding physical inputs. However, I encountered a couple of issues that I thought I’d share and see if anyone else has faced similar challenges or has solutions to offer.
Firstly, I noticed that when turning off the RGBW controller using either a Fibaro dimmer V1 (FGD-211) or a Fibaro relay switch V1 (FGS-221), and then turning it back on, the brightness doesn’t resume to its previous level. Instead, it starts at the minimum dim level, which is quite frustrating. While the color seems to retain its previous state, the brightness reset is a significant inconvenience.
Secondly, I’ve noticed that the dimming levels between the RGBW strip and my halogen lights aren’t syncing as expected. I thought that enabling the dim level sync feature would ensure both loads operate at the same brightness, but this doesn’t seem to be the case. The discrepancy is noticeable, and it’s something I’d like to resolve to have a more seamless experience.
I’ve kept all settings on the RGBW controller at default, except for enabling dim level sync on the dimmer. If anyone has successfully configured their setup to avoid these issues, I’d love to hear your tips or tricks. Happy to share my YAML configuration if that helps!
On a positive note, I’m really impressed with the Fibaro ecosystem’s potential, and I’m excited to continue exploring and optimizing my setup. It’s a learning journey, and I’m grateful for the community’s support in navigating these challenges.
Looking forward to your insights and experiences!
