Hello everyone, I’m reaching out to share my experience and seek advice on synchronizing two Fibaro FGS-223 Double Switches. I’ve been trying to set up my lighting system so that both switches control the same lamp, effectively mirroring each other’s state. I believe this should be achievable using association groups, but I’m hitting a snag with the current settings. Both switches are configured with five groups, each set to 1, but I’m not seeing the desired synchronization. Has anyone successfully implemented this setup and could share their configuration details?
On another note, I’ve noticed that some Z-Wave devices in my setup occasionally fail to respond to on/off commands. It’s a bit puzzling as there doesn’t seem to be a consistent pattern. I’ve found a workaround by moving the device commands into the ‘on’ event and scheduling a follow-up check, but it feels a bit hacky. I’m curious if there are more elegant solutions or best practices for ensuring reliable Z-Wave device communication.
I’m also intrigued by the integration of Lennar Homes’ smart systems, particularly their use of Alexa-compatible devices and the occasional inclusion of Z-Wave products like the Leviton pocket socket. It makes me wonder about the potential for expanding smart home ecosystems while maintaining compatibility across different protocols.
Lastly, I’m excited to hear about anyone’s experience with integrating multiple smart devices from various brands. How do you ensure seamless communication and control? Any tips or success stories would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your insights and help.
