Hello everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with the WeMo Link firmware update and how I managed to resolve the issue. If you’re encountering similar problems, I hope this helps!
Recently, I upgraded my WeMo Link firmware to version WeMo_WW_2.00.10937.PVT-OWRT-Link. However, after the update, I noticed that my WeMo components were throwing errors during startup. The logs showed an AttributeError related to the ‘NoneType’ object, which was quite concerning.
After some research and troubleshooting, I discovered that the issue was indeed related to the firmware update. I found a local fix that resolved the startup problem for me. To help others facing the same issue, I created a pull request in the pywemo project. You can find the fix here.
