Floor Heating Thermostat W500 - floor sensor (NTC) not working

Hi!
I use the Floor Heating Thermostat W500 with Home Assistant over Zigbee protocol.
The floor sensor (NTC) doesn’t show any temperature value in Home Assistant, just the 0.0 °C. I have tried different models of the Thermostat and different floor sensors. Can anybody help to fix this in Home Assistant?

Thanks!

Hello, welcome to the forum.
Maybe you need to select the NTC control option in the native Aqara program and then it will appear for you.
For your information, the W500 does not display all temperatures at once, only the one that is optionally selected.

Hi, thanks for the fast reply.

I don’t have a Aqara Hub and it seems on the Aqara App I can’t go to any sensor settings before connecting to a Hub. I can only use Home Assistant for this and there the possibilities are limited although the device is branded Home Assistant compatible.

Do you have a chance to look at other temperatures in the W500? If you see a built-in temperature sensor, then perhaps my version is correct.

The built in temperature sensor works fine out of the box. As some other values like humidity. Not sure what you suggesting (please consider that I am a HA beginner).

And I’ll surprise you even more, I don’t use НA. :grinning:
My version came true, the internal sensor is enabled by default. Don’t have an Aqara gateway?

It seems that the HA integration (via Zigbee) of the W500 can’t utilize all of its capabilities. Let’s hope for some updates.

No, I don’t have an Aqara gateway. Anyway, thanks a lot for the effort!

Not sure how you have setup your W500 via Zigbee with HA, but Zigbee2MQTT now supports the W500 and you can select the NTC temperature probe.

I’ve just updated mine this evening, and can now see floor temperature.
