How long can we extend the FP1 cable until it starts to matter to the device ?
There is no socket near where I want to put it and need to extend the cable.

It only draws power, so it should follow the usb specifications (for passive devices, since it needs to draw power.
USB Type-C specification recommends a maximum cable length of **4 meters** for passive cables. Be mindful that it depends on the quality of the cable, and the power you apply to it and want to draw from it. The best would be putting it to real-life test. Though I think usb extenders typically don’t go over 3m.
