FP1E Won't Go Into Pairing Mode

I had this sensor in one room, and decided to use it elsewhere. I deleted the FP1E from the Aqara app, and took it down. It sat for a while, and now I’m ready to use it in a different room. I went to add it back to my hub, but it won’t go into pairing mode. If you hold down the button for 5 seconds, nothing happens. I tried holding it down for quite a while, and still, nothing happens. If you press it once quickly it will do 2 short flashes, so it’s not dead or anything. The light will also do 2 sets of 2 flashes quickly when you plug it in.

If it makes a difference, the hub I’m trying to add it to is a different one than last time. I would try factory resetting, but it doesn’t say how to do that in the manual.

Remove the batteries for a few moments then put them back in. (see below)

Try short pressing the reset button 10x to restore the factory settings. The instruction are on the last page of this page

The FP1E is wired - no batteries  @srl77411

But try pressing it ten times or for over ten seconds to reset it / full reset it

Wow…Too much screen time for me. I clearly had FP300 on my mind.

thank you for the correction.

I tried 10 presses, and it still just does the same thing, like as if you only pressed the button once. Two quick blinks. Still no luck getting it into pairing mode.

I have a temp sensor that deleted itself, and is now acting the same way. I’m starting to think there’s something wrong with Aqara’s systems in general right now or something.

And did you tried it to press it for over 10 seconds?

Hello, first of all, check in the application whether the protection against removing the device is enabled. If it is enabled, then you will not be able to reset the device.

Yes, I did try holding for 10 seconds and longer.

I did not know that about device removal protection! Never would have guessed. That did it though, thank you!
