I got an FP2 sensor and set it up to turn off my kitchen light when I leave the room, but it’s not working reliably. The sensor is mounted 2 meters high and detects me fine when I walk into the room, but it usually fails to detect when I’m leaving. I’ve already added an interference zone around my fridge to avoid false triggers.
I’m not sure if there’s something wrong with my setup or if it’s a sensor issue - could there be ghosting problems specifically with exit detection?

Do you have a ceiling fan or anything like that? I had to get a little excessive with mine to avoid the false detections. Maybe try angling down a little?

Doesn’t it need to ‘learn)’ the area. Keep removing the false positives by just deleting them, don’t mark them as interference. Over time it will get better. At least that’s my experience.

This is probably the correct answer. I forgot I have the option to add entrances and exits. Thanks for the info

I keep deleting the false detections for a week now but I don’t see any improvement unfortunately.

I don’t have any fans in the kitchen, but I’ll mess with the angle a little bit to see if it makes any difference.
