Hi All,
I’m having trouble getting my Aqara FP2 zones into HomeKit properly. They all come under the same name and the sensor seems sporadic in its ability to track me around the room. Do you think it’s a faulty sensor or could I be doing something wrong? Any tips on the HomeKit integration would be great too!

I’ve always had to manually rename sensors from Aqara when importing into other platforms. You’ll have to trigger them and rename them as you figure out which is which.
Does the FP2 work fine in the Aqara app, or have you not tried that yet?

If ur Zones work properly in the Aqara System just unplug ur Homekit Router (Homepod, Apple TV) for some Minute and start it new.
If this does not work factory reset the FP2 in the Aqara App and tart new.
The Integration for Homekit i would start in the Aqara App NOT direktly by scanning the Code on the Device. Go into the FP 2 settings and search for Homekit and when u get the scanning Procedere just start it.
I have 5 FP2s and all my zones are direktly synced with Homekit

It has been very patchy in the Aqara app too but I didn’t really want it for that I wanted to have everything in HomeKit. I got fed up and stopped trying a few months ago, I’ll try again!

Great did you have to rename them all in HomeKit or did the names transfer across?

I have to agree here. Even if the Aqara devices work in HomeKit without a hub? I still pair it to my hub first. Most of the time you’ll get access to more features through the Aqara app.
For example, there’s some settings & features for my Aqara T2 light bulbs that I can only access through the Aqara app. If I paired them directly through HomeKit, I would miss out on those [quote=“crazyracer, post:3, topic:63468, full:true”]

I found that the names don’t transfer when I was playing about with zones

Open in the Aqara App the FP2 Sensor, then go to settings of the sensor (3dots),then on settings (3rd from above) and then there should be a part namend Namesyncronisation or something like this. Its the 3rd Point from above again.

Thank you. That option should really be a global one for all devices in the app
