FP300 - PIR constant false detections

I have 4x FP300 Presence sensors. They are all running on the latest Zigbee firmware; but for 3x of them I have to turn the PIR detection off, as the PIR has constant false triggers - from every 30 seconds to every 15 minutes - even when there is nobody present in the house at all. Oddly enough, 1x of these devices in my kitchen (with exact same settings) does not have this problem (although aimed in direction of stainless steel splashback).

As I understand, this got worse with the latest (Jan 2026) firmware, but there is no way to downgrade. The only difference is the 2x of these problem FP300’s are in tiled bathrooms (reflective tiles), and 1x in a hallway (white walls, ceilings, staircase).

It seems that a number of others are experiencing the same. Have there been any developments or fixes for this (other than turning PIR off)?

I think you need top reach out to support, they can download logs from the device that can help diagnose the issues

It’s pointless.

It’s a known issue, introduced with the latest firmware. The only solution is to downgrade the firmware, but that requires an Aqara hub. In the meantime, we’re using this sensor like an old presence sensor.
