I’ve heard the FP400 has been terminated due to numerous issues. This is the reason there has been ZERO UPDATES or any official mention by Aqara of a release date.
Ok? Strange… I would rethink about your sources ![]()
Please link to the places where this is mentioned.
I can’t see them canceling a product that they announced. We will see.
Well Aqara could dispelled this here in the forum but they won’t. I think they are still trying to make the product work as intended.
I don’t think so…maybe they are introducing some changes but as said, i don’t think it’s cancelled or will be cancelled.
Oh yikes.
Hope Aqara staff is willing to step forward and shed some light on that.
This sounds strange to me, too. Fingers crossed for the FP400 to be released in the future!
Deprecated seems rather an annotation on this particular device driver in the app. I see it as an error that it’s visible at all.
To elaborate: I think that Aqara developers have see more than one FP400 on this list. In the beginning they were developing a driver/plugin (presumably based on another sensor) to test if the device connects to the hub at all. Then they rewrote this feature and marked the old one as “deprecated”. In the end, due to an error (a human error, like somebody enabled this device for everyone instead of hiding it completely), it showed in your app. It’s just a leftover from the development process.
I think that when the FP400 releases we will have another device on this list, with different icon and without the “deprecated”
Heard from where?
It wouldn’t be the first time an announced product didn’t make it to market, or was delayed for technical or manufacturing reasons… Right now it would have to be pretty compelling for me to adopt over the FP2 and FP300 anyway.
I think you’ll get the chance to buy it
So the FP400 is just released on the China market, but it’s canceled, hm?
I also don’t think it’s canceled! Let’s see what infos we will get at the IFA
Seems like nothing but speculation, no reason to suggest it is cancelled
It shows up the Aqara app for EU accounts and the firmware is on the EU/US/KR/AU severs. Products are often launched in China a few weeks before the rest of the world so this is nothing unusual.
It’s not cancelled. Launching in China in the next couple of days, rest of the world should follow in the next weeks.
Packaging looks like this:
There we go!
