Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home security lately and decided to set up the Frigate camera system. It’s been a fantastic experience so far, but I wanted to share some of my thoughts and tricks for getting the most out of it. 
One thing I’ve been really focused on is creating custom conditions for my cameras to reduce false alerts. I’ve found that using the built-in blueprint works wonders, but I wanted to take it a step further by adding specific triggers based on my home’s layout. For example, I have a camera set up in my backyard, and I only want it to alert me when motion is detected during certain times or when my alarm is armed.
Here’s a quick tip I’d love to share: I combined the motion detection with a state condition for my alarm system. This way, the camera only sends notifications when the alarm is active. It’s been a game-changer for minimizing unnecessary alerts!
