Hello everyone, I wanted to share my recent journey with integrating smart home devices, which might resonate with those of you who are also exploring the world of home automation.
I’ve been using a mix of Honeywell Z-Wave switches and dimmers along with some Zooz Zen22, Zen27, and RGBW dimmers. The Honeywell products have been rock solid for almost two years now, but the Zooz devices have been a bit of a nightmare. They frequently drop off the Z-Wave network or require a reboot to reconnect. While I can tolerate the occasional reboot, my family finds it frustrating.
Initially, Zooz was supportive, but they seem to have pulled back, leaving me hanging. After much deliberation, I decided to pull the plug on all Zooz nodes and replace them with something more reliable.
I’d love to hear from others who might have faced similar issues or have recommendations for reliable alternatives. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’m hopeful that this change will bring the seamless experience I was aiming for.
