I installed 4 G100 cameras this week. The first two I set up with no problems, and can manage them from Apple Home. I have HSV on the five camera plan.
The second two will not allow me to set them to stream and allow recording, either during initial set up or afterwards. Every time I try to change the recording settings from stream to “stream & allow recording”, I get the same message: “settings error. There was an error updating the setting for this camera. Please try again later”.
I’ve updated all the firmware for the cameras, apple devices and home hub. I’ve rebooted the router. Still getting the same error.
In every other way the cameras seem to be working fine.
There is one annoying additional bug, which is that the “Add to Home View” button in the camera settings will not stay toggled off. Every time I go into the camera settings for any of the four cameras, the camera feed is then added to Home View again. I don’t want this feed in my home view, but the toggle won’t stay off.
