If a door is used as a trigger for the Away Guard system, it can’t be used for other automations it seems.
Upon entering during the delayed alarm period, i want to switch on some strobes but that automation never kicks in…
@loft1 It seems like you’re encountering an issue where the door, used as a trigger for the Away Guard system, isn’t functioning as expected for other automations during the delayed alarm period. This might be linked to conflicts in automation settings or changes in the firmware after the introduction of paid guard options.
Based on the information available, it’s possible that your automation setup is experiencing an action conflict. When automations involve simultaneous conditions, especially with instantaneous events like a door opening, the system might not execute them as intended if they are set to happen at the exact same moment. Introducing a delay between actions could potentially resolve this issue.
If you haven’t already tried adjusting the timing or sequence of your automation, that could be a good first step. If the problem persists, re-evaluating the automation settings or reaching out to Aqara’s customer support for more personalized assistance might be necessary.
Feel free to share more details or updates on your situation, as the community might have additional insights to help you out!
I can add a delay in an action, but not in a detection.
We used to be able to have an automation remind us that a delayed alarm was up.
Not anymore after the newest firmware.
So Aqara lures customers and then scraps functionality and makes it available again only in a payed subscription ?
What a way to run a business!
