I have an Aqara G2H pro as a hub and I want to buy an Aqara G410 doorbell, which also has a hub function. The question is, what will all the sensors connect to? Wa
@mickaello It’s great to hear you’re expanding your Aqara smart home setup! Both the Aqara G2H Pro and the Aqara G410 Doorbell have hub functions, which means they both can connect to other Aqara smart devices. However, there are some differences in their capabilities:
-
Aqara G2H Pro: This hub can connect with Aqara smart sensors and controllers through the ZigBee protocol. It is designed to act as the data interaction and control center for your smart home network. It supports up to 32 Zigbee terminal devices.
-
Aqara G410 Doorbell: This device also functions as a hub with the ability to connect to Aqara or third-party ecosystem devices using Zigbee or Thread protocols. It can support up to 40 Aqara Zigbee devices or 40 Matter devices.
The choice of which hub your sensors will connect to largely depends on your specific needs and the protocols you wish to use. For instance, if you have more devices, the G410 might be more suitable due to its higher device support limit. Both hubs can work together to enhance your smart home experience, offering flexibility in managing your devices.
Feel free to share more about your setup or any other questions you might have!
Hello @mickaello
G410 is a Zigbee hub and you can connect all your sensors to it. G410 can also connect thread devices and act as a TBR.
Aqara G2H pro can have up to 128 sensors connected, as it is written on the official Aqara website
@mickaello It seems there might be some confusion regarding the Aqara G2H Pro’s capabilities. Based on the reference information available, the Aqara G2H Pro can support up to 127 end devices through the ZigBee 3.0 protocol. However, the number of directly connected devices may vary if you’re using repeater devices within your network setup.
It’s fantastic that you’re diving deep into the capabilities of your devices. If you have more specifics from the official Aqara website, it might be a good idea to cross-reference that information to ensure you get the most accurate details for your setup.
Feel free to continue the discussion or ask more questions if needed!
