Hi,
My Aqara G4 Doorbell consistently fails to show the video and displays a blank screen with ‘Connection failure’ in the Aqara app and ‘No Response’ in the HomeKit app. When I disconnect all power to the doorbell and remove batteries, then reconnect everything, I can connect successfully to the network and display the video feed but within an hour the feed goes blank and the connection errors display.
@christopher I’m sorry to hear about the connectivity issues you’re facing with your Aqara G4 Doorbell. Here are some steps you can try to alleviate the problem:
-
Check Wi-Fi Compatibility: Ensure that your G4 doorbell is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, as it does not support 5 GHz. Avoid using special characters in your Wi-Fi name or password as these can cause connection issues.
-
Signal Strength: Make sure the distance between the G4 doorbell and the repeater is no more than 5 meters and check for any potential Wi-Fi interference in the area.
-
Restart Devices: Power off your G4 doorbell and then reconnect it. Press the doorbell to see if the chime plays a ringtone, indicating it’s back online.
-
Factory Reset: As a last resort, consider performing a factory reset of the G4 doorbell and chime by following the user manual instructions.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact Customer Service for further assistance by using the Aqara Home App (Profile > Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or scan the QR code:
