My G4 doorbell stops streaming (network errors) if it is in direct sunlight. There are posts in this forum (or even elsewhere on internet) that this used to be a known issue for G4 and it may have been fixed by FW update (and even this issue appeared on the latest G410).
My G4 is running FW 4.0.6_0018.0068 and the app says it is up to date.
However I can see (e.g. even here on the forum) references to various later FWs, e.g. 4.0.6_0024.0072, 4.0.6_0030.0078, 4.0.6_0044_0092 and even 4.0.6_0046.0094.
Is there a way to update my G4 to the latest FW?

I don’t think this is an issue. I have other Aqara products (Cameras G5 and G100) and for both their FW was updated quite recently (I was notified and manually started the FW update). Also when my G4 doorbell was installed approx. a month ago, the FW updated to the version I mentioned. However I can see references to later FWs, but the app says it is up to date.
Do you have G4? If so, what is your FW version?
Try enabling the update veto, you won’t lose anything. I have a G5.
Let me just double check what you mean by the term “veto updates” as there is no such option in the app. Do you mean the option for Beta Version Update ?
If so, then note that I have already tried that previously and even tried again now and no new beta FW has been offered to me.
This works a little differently than you might think. Allowing you to veto updates doesn’t mean you’ll get updates right away. They’ll just come as they come. By allowing these updates, you’re agreeing to use updates that may have bugs (they’re not stable versions).
Thanks. I know what beta version means as I’ve been in sw development for a lot of years. So I’ll try to keep this option on permanently.
Anyway, let me ask why are you referring to it as ‘to veto updates’? Never heard sth.like that referring to enable(i.e. allow) vs. disable(i.e. disallow) beta version to be downloaded and installed

As I mentioned initially, I suspect my Aqara G4 is not updating to the latest FW and stuck on FW 4.0.6_0018.0068. I would like to double check before raising a problem with the support.
