When opening the app my other camera automatically update to show a current still image, however this Doesn’t happen with the G4 doorbell.
The G4 is running on external power so not a power issue and I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled with the same result. Is it a setting I’m overlooking somewhere?
Recently had similar issues with my G4. After a the third or fourth reset (pulling camera, disconnecting power and reconnecting). I ended up upgrading to the g410. Kind of a bummer, but fingers crossed I don’t see it happen again.

No i haven’t. To be honest i normally just now use apple home, it’s no better no worse the the Aqara app
