G400 Firmware Update Problems

Hi - I recently bought and installed the Aqara G400 doorbell. I linked the device to the Aqara app and the app tells me that a firmware update is available. I click on the “Upgrade” button in the app and the firmware starts to download, but when the download process gets to 90%, the update process fails. This has happened on approximately 10 attempts to update the firmware.

I get the following message:
“Firmware update failed
Unknown error(993021)”

I can confirm that the iOS Aqara app software is updated. I’ve also tried restarting the devices and restarting my network. But, the firmware update failures continue.

I’d appreciate any help you can give to help me successfully update the firmware.

Thank you. Cheers.

Hi, try updating directly from the G400 plugin.

Thank you. What do you mean by “G400 plugin”? Is this the same as the G400 app? I have only been trying to do the update from the G400 iOS app. Cheers.

Hi, yes, I mean the G400 page.

Did you tried it to update over the Apple home app or Aqara app?

Yes, I tried it from the G400 page. Did you mean G400 or is U400 something different? Thanks.

Good idea. I enabled automatic updates. I’ll see what happens in the next day or so. Thanks.

Aqara app. Is there a way to force an update attempt using the Apple App? Thank you.

Update: Thanks for all who tried to help me. I’ve still been unable to get the software on the G400 to update despite many attempts through the Aqara app, restarting the device, and doing a factory reset. Has anyone else been unable to update the G400? I’m thinking it may be time for me to return the device. Cheers.

Hmm, not that I know.
Maybe you can contact the Aqara support- they can read out log files and push the update if necessary
