I am trying to install the g400 in the process of doing so it finds my wifi but eventually says account binding failed. I am connecting it to an iot 2.4g network with no password.

Hi, welcome to the forum. Maybe the security restrictions of the G400 prevent it from connecting to the passwordless Internet.

I should clarify, it now has no password. In my attempts to get it to connect i removed the password in an attempt to get it to connect.
Is is not an issue with adding the device to your Aqara account rather than a Wi-Fi issue?
Did you try to reboot your router and phone?also make sure that you router is in range of the chime and not to far.after rebooting the router and your phone do an factory reset and then try to pair it again see if that works
I have rebooted my wifi, i have added a password back on it, i have followed the instructions sent to me by the help desk. When the G400 is trying to connect to my wifi it does not ask for a password. Should it be asking?
No it doesn’t ask because your phone already have all that witch will pass to G400 too I mean pass and user.what exactly shows?my be do an short video and post it here so we can see how exactly you pair it
