I had the 4.3.6_0058.0068 firmware update show yesterday and have had nothing but problems since.
First it said it was updated successfully, but the outdoor unit was stuck in a loop between blinking blue and blinking yellow. Camera unresponsive in Homekit and connection error in the app.
The update also seemed to not have applied at all, and the app just offered to update over and over. After hours of it being stuck with no way out, i eventually removed it from the app and did a factory reset on the chime hub.
After this the outdoor unit came back to life.
But adding the chime hub to the app with the QR code didn’t work. The only way was bluetooth discovery (which it hadn’t needed before).
But more importantly, since this update i can no longer connect the doorbell to Homekit.
I tried scanning the setup code, discovering nearby devices and typing in the code, with the Enable button in the app. Also tried to disable the 5ghz wifi here and double-checking phone and chime are on the same AP.
Most of the time it simply tries to connect for a long time and then says the accessory was unreachable.
Other times it tells immediately me the device does not work with Homekit.
I also tried enabling Matter, but it just adds and empty hub to my home, with no visible devices.

Hi,
I am tempted to test, haven’t updated yet.
Did you had your Apple HomeKit device on latest version?, wondering if that could play part in all this.
I personally noticed that my HomePod was playing up before I updated to latest version. Using also AppleTV so have stability of two HomeHub options.
Thanks

Everything was on iOS/HomepodOS/tvOS 18.6 both during the initial setup and now after the reset.
I’ve only had the G410 for a few days and was hoping the update would fix the badly blown out exposure
I think I’ll return this and try a G4 instead - from what I see very few of the extra features on the G410 actually matter in a Homekit setup

Hrm, what are our options to revert to previous firmware version?

I’m sure you’ve already tried, but restart Apple Home hub and aqara hub?

Yeah restarting everything i could was the first thing i tried.
I actually tried the nuclear option, too: grabbed a power bank and batteries and tried to set it up at a friend’s place with their phone, so everything except the doorbell was different. Still failed, though
On the upside Amazon delivered the G4 yesterday and that works now

Hi. This same issue just happened to me. Did anyone find a solution besides going with the G4?
having the same issue. just set it up at my parents house and it gets notifications in home app but video won’t connect. any help is welcome.
Hi @aimsatellite how strong is the connection / video signal?
Is it working in Apple home?
Did it work before?
How far is the distance bewteen the doorbell and chime? The wifi can make the connection troublesome
I first got a weak signal when I installed it but after placing the chimne closer everything works flawlessly. FYI I’m on iOS 26.2 and the firmware version of the g410 is 4.5.0
I’m trying to connect my 410 doorbell to my apple home . It connected to the Aqara app. I was able to connect the m3 hub to HomeKit but nothing is working with the doorbell . Any ideas?
Got it had to use the Aqara app instead of homekit
Yes first connect to the Aqara app and then it automatically comes into HomeKit when you have the synchronization in the Aqara app on
